hi everyone,

This site is in its very early stages. However I think you will find the system configurations interesting. You will notice that with this type of equipment set up, you will be able to HEAR your processed voice while you are recording, with ZERO latency. I find this method much easier to deal with, as opposed to recording a 'dry' dialog track and adding effects in post. The pics are live links, and there are links to the manufacturers specs at the bottom of the pages. http://podcastrigs.com

While I appreciate the examples given, I would really like to see what each podcaster is using to achieve their sound. You mention a lot of hardware solutions, but what about us podcasters that are purely software based? I think you have a winning site if you could get different podcasters to talk about their set-ups and how they record their shows.

hi,

Great feed back...You are correct. I am trying to figure out how to do it. First, I am going to ask for everyone's recommendations for podcasts that have superior audio quality. This has nothing to do with the 'most popular' podcasts. There are some that receive zero recognition, and sound a ton better than some of the most popular. With all due respect to eveyone, there are some people like myself that just need to hear halfway decent audio. Anyway, after I start receiving recommendations, I will begin an inquiry as to how the podcasters are getting it done...

Sounds like a great podcast! GearCast PodCast! Like how audio people have their magazines, you can create a podcast about podcast technology... or set-ups!

I actually just found a podcast that is heading in this direction over at http://www.podcast411.com. I did a little interview with them tonight.

Not sure how detailed he is going to go into all the setups, but I know his goal is to podcast about podcasting.
