The following is an email that was sent to Jason at InsomniaRadio. This is a bit time sensitive because Jason is looking to get back to them soon, but if you have any suggestions reguarding the below email...post them! Hello Jason.

My name is David Whittemore and I work at GarageBand.com.
Your radio partner feed page is now available at:

http://www.garageband.com/htdb/feed

I just gave your #10 podcast a spin and was delighted to hear a couple
GB tracks in there.

I'm contacting you directly because we want to make sure that efforts
such as yours receive the support they deserve. In particular, GarageBand
would like your feedback on what could be done to make information more
readily available for projects such as your own - both in our Radio Partner
Program, and in general.

If you have ideas on how to improve data delivery, or data discovery,
we're open to suggestions. These are very interesting times and
we appreciate the work that you and others are doing simply for the love
of the music.

Hoping to hear more from you..

It's nice to see that Garageband gets it. After all, they're about promotion, and they seem to understand the reach podcasting is about to have.. Of course, they're risking very little, as the material is already publicly available.

The fact that podcasters can apply for and get a "radio partner" license is quite a validation for what we're doing. I'd like to see it go a bit further than it does now.. For example, some bands right now have the downloads set to 'fan list only' or something like that, so the general public can't get the mp3s. It would be great if the radio (or podcast) partner license allowed us to download these tunes..

It seems there should be an advantage, after all, we're helping push their product..

that's my cdn$0.02,

Over at gameonthestreet we have had nothing but a good experience with garageband.com. We have used their stuff almost exclusively, except for the odd Brad Sucks song. It can be a pain to find your station though, as it is not really easy to find. It is buried in About Us -> Partners -> link.
