I made my first Podcast http://www.xampled.com/radio/ on Windows.
I used
- Sony Media's Acid Pro (http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/products/acidfamily.asp) for recording the voice (used noise gate and EQ FX) and for mixing the voice + music (added compression at the end) and rendering to MP3.
(I guess the free version Acid Xpress (http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/products/showproduct.asp?PID=905) could do the job too)
- iTunes (http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/): to set the ID3 tags right
- FileZilla (http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/): to upload the file to my provider
- Blogger (http://www.blogger.com): to write my blog post
- Feedburner (http://www.feedburner.com): to convert my Atom feed to a podcast-ready RSS feed
