I had some ideas on what ID3 logic to follow for podcast MP3s.

I checked out the DailySourceCode, ITConversations and WeFunkRadio podcasts, and drew some lessons from there.
Feedback welcome!

Good information in general. One thing I do that I would consider adding is to set the track number to the show number. That makes it easy to order the podcasts chronologically while leaving more freedom in setting the track title.
You may also want to specifically mention that if you want dates to sort in chronological order you must put year first, then month, then day: 04.12.08. Years, months, and days must each have two digits unless you plan on including material from the 1900s, in which case years must have four digits: 2004.12.08.
Depending on how your show is set up, I would use title for a short description of the theme of the current show or otherwise the date, artist for the speaker, and album for the podcast name. Copyright could be the URL for the home page.

The info from http://marc.blogs.it/archives/2004/11/thanks_dave_for.html titled "Thanks Dave for the opportunity of being calm and careful" may prove helpful, or contacting others for work which may of already been done.
