The 6.5 Questions
1. How long have you been podcasting?
I have had a blog for about 3 years now. My first podcast was on September 23rd. It seems like longer than that. I am having a lot of fun and have made many new friends.

2. How many shows have you done?
I just finished my 34th show as of this interview. The most recent one was part 2 of the Christmas Special. I played a lot of great Holiday Rock songs.

3. How has your quality/performance changed since your first show?
I have gotten a lot more comfortable in front of the microphone but I still get nervous when I start the show. I have more of a format now but I wish I was a little more professional.

4. What podcasts do you listen to and which are your favorites?
I listen to the Daily Source Code (obviously)- Adam Curry is a really nice person and has helped me a lot with my podcast endeavors.

Evil Genius Chronicles- Dave Slusher is witty and extremely smart. I hope to sit down and have a beer with him someday.
Reel Reviews - More of a film geek than I am a Rock and Roll geek.
Engadget- I learn something new on every show
Dawn and Drew (obviously) - I met them at bloggercon and they were really nice people.

I wish I spoke as well as them.

Others that I listen to:
Geek News Central
Eric Rice
Northwest Noise
Tech Chick
Super Smart Radio Whore Sex Show

5. Tell us about your show and who should be listening to it?
Do you know what a Star Trek Geek is? Well, I am the same thing, just replace Star Trek with Rock and Roll. A Star Trek Geek can tell you what street Captain Kirk grew up on or some obscure fact like that. I can tell you what guage strings Malcolm Young of AC/DC used on the third record or what guitar Joe Perry used on the solo from Back in The Saddle. I play my favorite rock and roll songs that most people may have never heard. Occasionally I will throw in an AC/DC or Cheap Trick song in, though. I also try to add a little self effacing humor. Sometimes I will get a celebrity interview and I try to get ids from celebrities, as well. If anyone would like to do an id for my show, just call 206-984-GEEK and say "Hi this is (insert name here) and you're listening to the Rock and Roll Geek Show. I'll play it on the air. If you are into good rock and roll then you should listen to this podcast.

6. What is your background (especially if relevant to your podcast)?
I play bass in a band called American Heartbreak. I live in San Francisco, CA. I have been in touring bands since I was 19 years old and am still doing it. I will be doing it until I die because I live for rock and roll. I like to think that it comes out in my podcast.

6.5 Is there anything else your listeners should know about you, your show, etc?
My band is going on tour in Europe starting Jan. 4th. I will be doing lots of shows from there. It should make for some great podcasts, providing I can find wifi in Europe. Stay tuned!
