The 6.5 Questions
1. How long have you been podcasting?
Since May of 2006

2. How many shows have you done?
Fifty-one have been posted, but there are a few that never made it to release.

3. How has your quality/performance changed since your first show?
We are much more relaxed. We worry far less about if anyone is listening and more about giving the audience something useful, or at least something that makes for interesting listening. We actually removed a few of our earlier shows because they were terrible and we donít want anyone to have to listen to those again.

4. What podcasts do you listen to and which are your favorites?
Mike: Digital Flotsam was the show that made me want to podcast and Betty in the Sky with a Suitcase made me realize that if Betty could do a show, I could do a show. Currently on my iPod you will find Accident Hash, Jersey Toddshow, Dancing with Elephants, Griddlecakes Radio, The Bitterest Pill, TWIT, Short Cummings Audio. Ask me again tomorrow and there might be a whole new batch of shows. Chris: There are podcasts other than KidsWifeWorkLife?

5. Tell us about your show and who should be listening to it?
KidsWifeWorkLife is exactly what you would expect. We woke up one day and suddenly we had kids, a spouse, a job, and that was our life. We also realized that there are lots of other people just like us. Nobody knows how to perfectly balance all these things and we talk about our adventures trying to do so. It is often funny, sometimes serious, and hopefully something that makes the listeners feel like it was worth their time to listen. Each show also includes a suggestion for a childrenís book. Reading with your kids is very important and we like to encourage that. If you have kids, a spouse and a job you might like the show. Even if you only have two of the three you might still like it.

6. What is your background (especially if relevant to your podcast)?
Mike: I am a Landscape Architect and Urban Planner, but my experience as a spouse and father is far more relevant. Chris: I have been teaching elementary school for over 12 years, a wife for 8 years and a mom for 6 years.

6.5 Is there anything else your listeners should know about you, your show, etc?
We are real people just like you. We also respond to our email. I canít believe how many listeners send email and then are shocked that we respond. Of course we do! We like our listeners, come join the family.
