The 6.5 Questions
|
1. How long have you been podcasting?
Only about a year.
2. How many shows have you done?
5, with more in production.
3. How has your quality/performance changed since your first show?
Honed our public radio tone & cadence I think. Figured out what works best in short podcast episode format. Responded to feedback from listeners.
4. What podcasts do you listen to and which are your favorites?
Gotta love Ask A Ninja (www.askaninja.com). Also, Mediocre Films (www.mediocrefilms.com), and NPR Movies (http://www.npr.org/templates/topics/topic.php?topicId=1045&ft=2&f=1045)
5. Tell us about your show and who should be listening to it?
Where other news sources leave off, Irrational Public Radio starts, and proceeds almost mercilessly. For the discerning listener, IPR is a stalwart of integrity, a bastion of integrity, and just a huge heaping platter of integrity. We commend you for your taste and your fetching personal scent.
(Basically, it's a public radio parody show that we feel nails the tenor and cadence of real public radio. It's a loving satire, and some of our most ardent fans are either die-hard public radio listeners, or people who actually work for NPR and its member stations)
6. What is your background (especially if relevant to your podcast)?
I'm an actor, writer, and voice-over guy, originally from Boston, now in LA. I'm also a huge public radio fan. More on me (if you're interested) at www.JoeSmith.com
6.5 Is there anything else your listeners should know about you, your show, etc?
IPR online is brought to you with the support of the Irma Yoosh Foundation, providing alternatives to solar-based afterschool programs for low-income wildlife.
