The 6.5 Questions
1. How long have you been podcasting?
I've been podcasting since December of 2004, but U-Turn Cafe did it's first preview show on October 5, 2005. I launched it as a sister podcast to Accident Hash because I kept doing these really mellow shows and people loved them. I looked around and there were not too many people showcasing this type of music so I made it a completely separate show.

2. How many shows have you done?
Sadly to say it's under ten at this moment because I don't have nearly enough time to do all the creative things I want to do. The goal was to do one a week, but it's much less then that at the moment. The hope is that in 2006 I can get this on a more regular schedule.

3. How has your quality/performance changed since your first show?
Because I had the full set up and had been doing this for a while it hasn't really. The hardest part was chilling out on the mic because I wanted to maintain the entire chilled vibe for the show and usually I get a little hyper on the microphone.

4. What podcasts do you listen to and which are your favorites?
I listen to all sorts of different shows depending on the mood. My staples that have been there for a long time and I always listen to first would include Evil Genius Chronicles, Bob & AJ, The Bitterest Pill and In Over Your Head. All very different shows, but they are the core. I listen to lots of other ones too including the BiddieCast, MommyCasters, anything Scott Sigler puts out and Pacific Coast Hellway.

5. Tell us about your show and who should be listening to it?
Anyone who wants little talk, no promos and lots of great podsafe acoustic music. I describe it as the perfect show to put on during whatever your doing and let it chill you out. It's focused on the music and the mood to relax more then anything else.

6. What is your background (especially if relevant to your podcast)?
I've been a music junkie my whole life. I grew up on a vast diet of different music, but always had a heavy dose of singer songwriter type music so it was an easy transition to put out this show in this format. Accident Hash is a lot of fun, but I like just chilling out and visiting the U-Turn Cafe.

6.5 Is there anything else your listeners should know about you, your show, etc?
One feature of the show that I haven't been able to do as much of because I don't have the content is that I would love to play more acoustic "unplugged" versions of songs. I'd love for more podsafe artists to record raw versions of their tracks or record a show and send me a mellow clip to play on the show. Whenever I play these people go nuts and really like them because they showcase the true talent in a singer.
