The 6.5 Questions
|
1. How long have you been podcasting? I started podcasting EarthCore in March, 2005, so I've been podcasting for 10 months.
2. How many shows have you done? EarthCore was 23 episodes, and Ancestor has 12 episodes so far -- a grand total of 35.
3. How has your quality/performance changed since your first show? I was fortunate enough to have a full studio to use for the first few EarthCore episodes. Since then I've added home recording equipment, andliterally record Ancestor in my closet (insert pun here). My voice acting is getting better, and I'm also improving on vocal delivery and pacing to add to the level of suspense.
4. What podcasts do you listen to and which are your favorites? There are so many. Dawn & Drew, Dragon Page, Accident Hash, Rock & Roll Geek, I Should Be Writing, Escape Pod, Daily Source Code, Pocket & The Pendant, Morevi, Chinese Pod and Inside Mac Radio are some favorites.
5. Tell us about your show and who should be listening to it? Ancestor is a suspense audiobook full of violence, betrayal, and science gone horribly wrong. If you liked movies such as Predator, Aliens and Starship Troopers, you will love Ancestor. If you like suspense TV like Lost, 24 and Battlestar Galactica you will not only love Ancestor, youwill love me and probably want to have my baby.
6. What is your background (especially if relevant to your podcast)? My career covers journalism and marketing, although writing monster stories is my real passion. I've been writing "seriously" for about seven years, and finally broke through with EarthCore, which is available as a print novel from Dragon Moon Press (and is available on Amazon.com).
6.5 Is there anything else your listeners should know about you, your show, etc? These are fiction novels. I did a lot of research, but I didn't actually kill, maim, torture, molest, rape, fold, spindle or mutilate anyone.
