The 6.5 Questions

1. How long have you been podcasting?
I've been podcasting for about 2 months now. I feel like I've been podcasting my whole life, though. I have early memories playing with one of those Farmer Says toys where you point the arrorw at the animal, then pull the string and it makes a crazy animal sound. Podcasting's really a lot like that, if you think about it.
2. How many shows have you done?
I've done 30 shows. I haven't "done" them in the sense you would say that you've "done" a hot cheerleader, or "done" your homework, but I suppose you could say I've "done" them in some respect.
3. How has your quality/performance changed since your first show?
I no longer have to look at nude photos of Bea Arthur prior to starting the show to work my confidence up. I stutter a lot less, and my theme song is a little more inspiring than the first one, which frankly gave me lots of legal trouble from the estate of Richard Simmons.
4. What podcasts do you listen to and which are your favorites?
I love listening to Ebert and Roeper's podcast because it's a perfect short and sweet use of the medium. I listen to Dawn and Drew, Drink 'Til We're Funny, Smurftalk, This Week About Technology, and Bukkakecast Weekly.
5. Tell us about your show and who should be listening to it?
It's a 20 minute trip down memory lane with lots of funny comments about pop culture and nostalgia. We have weird and rare commercials, movie trailers, and many celebrity interviews. If you want to learn, laugh, and perhaps even cry, I think retroCRUSH The Podcast is for you.
6. What is your background (especially if relevant to your podcast)?
I've been running retroCRUSH.com for about 5 years now and am the happiest man in the world. I've also been spending most my life livin in a gangster's paradise. Also, I'm half Portuguese which means I really like podcasting naked.
6.5 Is there anything else your listeners should know about you, your show, etc?
That whole bit about me being a polygamist on America's Sexiest Podcasters was untrue, and frankly I'm considering a lawsuit.
